Spark Interview Experience
I recently got interviewed in Jio and thought that I should share my interview experience with you so that it could help you.
Jio Spark Program Interview Experience.
Interview Details
Date of Interview – November 2022
Mode of Interview – Online
Total Interview Rounds – 3 [L0, L1, L2]
Salary Compensation – 5 LPA
Interview Rounds
Basically, Jio hires candidates through their Spark Program for the salary of 5LPA, program consists of 3 interview rounds such as L0, L1, L2.
L0 Round:
This is a technical interview round, in this round they basically focuses on your basic understanding of Data Structure, DBMS, Networking, Programming Languages(C/C++, Java, Python etc) as well as your communication skills.
Also they focuses on your Resume but there are less Resume based questions.
L1 Round:
This is technical interview round, in this they mainly focuses on your Resume and ask questions on the mentioned skills and technologies.
The interviewer will ask questions on the Projects you mentioned in your resume.
L2 Round:
This round is a semi Technical and semi HR round. The interviewer will be the experienced one in this round.
He/She will ask you questions based on your resume as well as all on the core subjects such as Algorithms, Networking, Operating System etc and sometimes he/she can ask questions on trending technologies as well
After asking this questions if they convince with your performance then they will ask you traditional HR questions.
All rounds are elimination round and after that they will hire you for spark.

- Basics of SQL
- RDBMS Basics
- HTML/CSS
- Data Structure [important]
Try to prefere Java over any other language for Data Structure and OOP’s concepts.
Note: If you get selected for Spark then you will have chance to appear for Jio Ignite 6LPA and Jio Illuminate 7LPA these will have their separate selection process.
Jio Ignite and Jio Illuminate interview experience
Week after the selection in spark program I got interviewed for the advancement round of Jio Ignite and Jio Illuminate.
Interview Details
Date of Interview – December 2022
Coding Test – 1
Mode of Interview – Online
Total Interview Rounds – 1 [Advancement Round]
Salary Compensation – 6 LPA & 7 LPA
Coding and Interview
Week after selection in spark program I got mail for the coding test for advancement round, Coding test was on the HackerEarth platform. there were 2 coding questions in the round with difficulty medium and hard respectively, questions were highly designed and required strong data structure knowledge.
I was able to solve only medium level question and that too partially, still I got chance for interview because I think coding round was just for evaluation and not for elimination.
Then next day I got interviewed and the conversation started, firstly interviewer asked me to introduced myself in brief, I then he asked me some basic questions based on the data which i had mentioned in my resume.
I have mentioned my Android projects so he asked me few questions on my projects, questions were like
- how do got this project idea?
- which database you used?
- explain project working and architecture?
- my specific role in that project? etc.
Then he asked me some basic and moderate level questions on data structure and told me to share my laptop screen and write Merge Sort code, which I implemented successfully because I have implemented the code in Java he asked me more questions on java some of which I was not able to answer. Then he asked me “do you have any questions for me?” then there I asked him “1. What do you expect from fresher apart from technical knowledge?, 2. What trending technology Jio is currently working on?” this questions and we had some great conversation and at that point he kind of satisfied by me and after 6 days result came nad I was selected for the profile of Illuminate.
